Therapy- “What types of clients come to therapy?”
I often get asked this question by friends or acquaintances who may be unfamiliar with therapy. Yes, therapy is a space to support individuals who may be facing challenges with mental health. But honestly, therapy is a space for anyone.
Therapy provides an unbiased and confidential space where you can explore your deepest thoughts, feelings and worries. Sure, you may have friends, family and trusted confidantes to talk about these things, but what is unique about therapy is that it is a space dedicated solely to you, with your best interests at the forefront.
It is a space where you can unreservedly put yourself first. A space where you don’t need to worry about balancing the unspoken societal rules of talking versus listening. A private and confidential space that is yours to explore, reflect, and consider things. We can all benefit from having a safe, non-judgemental & supportive space where we feel seen, heard, and emotionally held……
Because the key to a Compassionate Mind, is a Compassionate Space 🔑🌳🌸
